It's very normal to be scared and not know what's going to happen.We all went through the same emotions and fears.
The best thing is to wait until your doctor has discussed everything with you as you may be able to have alternative treatments.
So many alternatives are available these days that surgery may not be necessary. Check out some of the links on the start page of this forum, there is a wealth of information in them.
