Sorry to hear of your Mothers problems.
Rectocele is totally different and separate from hysterectomy, it's unfortunate that it wasn't done as the same time.
There are never guarantees, but my sister had the rectocele done and she hasn't had problems since, if that is of some comfort.
I wish your mother all the best. Please keep us updated on how it all goes.
