Hi Bernie
I took Keftin antibiotics for bladder infection, then took 2nd dose two weeks later. Vitamin C helped as a stool softener and my doctor says its just good all round helpful vitamin to build immune system. My bladder is still dicy and am having spasms similar to how you describe. I also had a catheter in hospital and had discomfort until removed. I am quite sure I'll be back at GP again soon as its not going away. If it weren't for this, I'd be on top of the world! Incidentally, when the bladder is playing up, i also have abdominal bloating which feels like mild period pain. I'll keep you posted and hope you begin to feel well soon. I'm so grateful of this forum to talk to people like you, and to Jill who's advice is always wonderful.
