Subject: 1week post op vaginal hysterectomy

I just has my uterus only removed due to heavy periods.
Three questions: I'm wondering why I'm getting hot flashes today off and on. I was told that simply having a hysterectomy would not cause this. What can I do to eleviate? Second: Most of my pain now just feels like gas or constipation, yet I'm on stool softeners. Any info as to what I should be feeling after 7 days?
Third: If I can't return to work yet (Dr said 2 weeks), what is ok to to be doing at home all day? Is is ok to sit in a chair for a couple hours? should I be walking around a lot? Can I go to a movie?
