Michelle, I am so sorry for all you've been through. I've not experienced endo, but had a hyst. about 6 years ago (gosh, maybe it's closer to 7) for different reasons. I had an lavh and kept my ovaries. I think sometimes when one is younger, it is harder to make the decision to have a hyst. I was 46 at the time and didn't mind giving up my periods. I'd had enough!

Will you be able to keep your ovaries? This is something to dicuss with your doctor. If you are still young, it is usually better if you can keep your ovaries instead of going on hrt. From what I have seen posted here over the years, I would say most women with endo find great relief with a hyst. It can be scary loosing a part of you like your uterus, but the relief is usually worth it. It is important to have a doctor you trust also and one who is willing to answer all your questions. I pray you'll be able to make the right decision. kb
