Please do be careful about picking up your son. I know you think it may scar him for the rest of his life, but it won't and you really need to be disciplined here. AS you know, children that age are all over your lap. Be careful abouthtat too. He may not understand at first, but just keep explaining to him until it is safe for him to crawl on your lap. Children can be flexible and resiliant. Don't give into temptatation!
