Subject: Fort Worth Stock Show Parade

We definitely made history today as the Confederate Grays again marched down the streets of Fort Worth, for the first time in about 70 years. I felt both proud and privileged to be a part of renewing that particular Confederate presence, given the history of the original Confederate Grays. Thanks to everyone who had a part in organizing, leading, and participating in this event. A big "Boy Howdy" thank you to Randy Arrick, David Dunn, Dan Hastings, all of the officers and men of the 9th Texas Infantry, CSA, and others who marched. The weather was perfect, even if initially a little brisk, it was dry. The crowd thoroughly seemed to enjoy our presence. After the parade there was a substantial Confederate presence in the Stockyards as we enjoyed Risky's BBQ. In Risky's there were several people who wanted photos, one fellow from France. Maybe they do not have Confederates there. Thanks again for another wonderful time and another memory.
