The subject of women preaching or teaching in certain context is often confused with whether women shold hold specific positions ordained by God. While we do see women preaching, prophesying, teaching and praying in the old and new testament, we do not see where God Has ever oradined the ordination of women to the Eldership, Apostleship or the Bishopric. While the Spirit of God is poured upon all flesh for ministry in the body, this does not negate the order that God has set up in his church. Man is the head both then and now. We are deliberately going n the face of God's order and command when we presume to establish an order that God did not ordain and even the more, he forbad. There is no justification whatsoever for a female ordained Elder, Pastor or Bishop. A deaconess would be the equivalent to a female minister but yet not ordained. God has always and will always use Women in ministry and various ways but there are some offices that He only has ordained for men. And likewise there are positions that a men cannot hold, such as, Church Mother, First Lady, etc... That sounds ridiculous doesn't it? Well so does a woman occupying the office of Bishop, Pastor or Elder. It ought not be and there is Bible to back it up. When it came to the times and ordinances of the day Jesus cared not for any man, any statutes or any customs: It would have been very easy for Him to have appointed a women among the Apostles (after all they were among the 500 witnesses as well as the 120 in the upper room.) And so with Paul, Paul had revelation of the third heavens and understood stewardship of the mystery of God. When laying out the qualifications for Elders and Bishops, surely he would have also said "the wife of one husband" or "if a man or woman desire the office of Bishop". It is clear that women where not and are not to hold certain positions in the church, and as for that, not even most men. To say the contrary is to refute the rightly divided Word of God, and no man can change what God has said. We should give the more earnest heed to what God has said, ordained and established.
