Before this sounds personal or something, I just mean that it is a DM's job to make scenes colorful and vivid. Introducing more rules is like growing a bureaucracy, which ultimately stifles game play and creates a stale game, limiting freedom and creativity. This is what I am learning to dislike immensely in the new additions of D&D.
