I know that applying the Celestial template would raise the creature's Int to 3 -- the others might do something similar. Since Int 3 creatures are considered sentient, they probably shouldn't fall under a Animal category -- the normal "Teaching Tricks" rules would no longer apply -- they could even have languages . . .

It's a good idea but doesn't feel the same . . . you might as well take the Leadership feat!
