Brett sent me the following email today. I almost peed my pants. Enjoy!
So I had to corral the sheep last night. I am supposed to put 21 ewes and 3 llamas in one pen and 3 rams and a llama in the other pen. Well I got a few of the rams mixed up with the ewes and had to go about seperating them. The sheep are afraid of you so they run when you get near them and the llamas are their "protectors." We have this one dadgum llama that is good at what he does and wasn't having us get too near the sheep; (they spit at you). So the plan was to have my buddy Larry separate and scare them where we could get the llama out of there so we could just deal with the sheep. The other llamas were easy to control. I was going to lure him out by opening the gate up a little bit as Larry scared them my way and then I would shut the gate on him as soon as he got half way through; so the sheep can't follow him. I figured it might take us a few tries but we could do it. I am not sure if it was on the 1st or 2nd try but we got that llama to take the bait. So I slammed the gate down on the llama's midsection so he could squeeze the rest of the way out. Well as I did this, and with the pressure of the llama squeezing his way out, about 5 sheep that were following him and running pretty much at full speed slammed into the fence head first of course. What is funny about this is that when they are freaked out they will just leap over one another so I had a few ram into the bottom of the fence and the ones trailing leap over them and slam into the fence on top of them. Well, I wasn't ready for all this force. I held my ground and kept the fence closed as the llama squeezed out but the top of this metal fence slammed into the top of my nose. I immediately keeled over and seriously thought my nose was broken. It felt like somebody just took a baseball bat to my head. But it wasn't too bad. It is just a little swollen and I have a headache. Now just imagine the story in your head. Sheep on one side sprawled out as they have basically just run head first full speed into a brick wall and me on the other side basically being whipped in the face by a metal bar. And that's your story of the day.
