Hi all,
I have been with my husband through 8 yrs of addiction trying every detox, meetings, prison sentences and endless promises which all have been broken.
Over the years different counsellors have said to me to give him tough love, this i struggle with as he is not the strongest person mentally. I worry that the tough love would send him over the edge and be on my conscience.
People say im enabling him by standing by him, is this true ?
He is now back in jail with no money or baci and no one left willing to help him out financially through another sentence. Is this tough love enough ?
At the moment i feel so defeated with it all that i wont even go to visit. All he had to do was 12 weeks of rehab to escape jail but he couldnt cope with the withdrawals at 2 different rehabs and left both after 3 weeks. He has now been breached and sent to jail.
When will he reach his rock bottom as mine is closing in on me fast !
