Subject: My GF is an addict

I have started to date a very sweet girl, but we live in different cities, so I haven't been with her except few days at a time.

Recently she visited me for four days and we have great time. This week I visited her, she's gone on birth control, so we dropped condoms. I got introduced to her mom, and got a long real well. After I saw her mom the 2nd time, as my GF did not show up as agreed, her mom asked if I knew that her daughter has a serious drug problem? I asked her what she's on and she told me heroin.

I have been devastated, poor baby, what she's doing to herself. I love her and I'm going to fight for her, but I'm so naive with this stuff. If anybody has any ideas, suggestions, let me know. Her use has escalated in the last weeks I think. But she's been on at least since last summer. She has a great kid that I get along very well, but she's not able to take care of the kid appropriately anymore.

I'm going back to her on Monday and try to help. And as she's injecting the stuff, I guess i better get HIV tested now...

This is a cry for help, I don;t know what to do. All I know is that I still love her, and I want to help her through this hell...
