Subject: interferon advise needed

My sister is now living in a half way house, after going to re-hab 2 times. She has hep-C and now they want to start her on interferon. From what I read, it seems it really dosnt work and the side effects can be even worse the having the hep-c. Does any one have any info on this? I also read they are working on better and more efficiant meds to be advailable soon. Any suggestion would be appriciated
