I just started the meth program about 5 weeks ago. I have been using heroin the entire time. I feel like the meth isnt working at all. Sure I dont get sick anymore, but the cravings to use dope are still SOOOO intense. I am allergic to suboxone & subutex (buprenorphine) so that is not an option and neither is cold turkey. Methadone is really my only option and the stupid clinic by me will only put people up to 100mg. Right now im on 75mg. I feel like maybe if i had a much higher dose it would work.
By the way my heroin habit is bad. I do two bundles a day IV and I, too sit on my bed trying to find veins that arent there and are so covered with scar tissue..poking bleeding and crying. I just don't know what to do. I feel there is no hope for someone like me...Ive been to soo many detoxes and rehabs. I dont know...
