Thank you for posting. Man, I'm in tears. Apparently more people outlive their cancer than they do an addiction. My life changed forever the day I met heroin, as I guess yours did. I've come off gear now for over a year and am clean of methadone for a few weeks, but I'm already planning to go back on it again because this [life] is rubbish and I'm just existing. At least with methadone I was existing and not noticing. Now I smell everything, taste everything and feel everything and it stings all my senses like bleach. I say this to you not so that you feel sorry for me, but so you might understand that and addict will never be the person they once were. Thank you
