Subject: Im scared to lose him.

I'm scared of losing him. My boyfriend quit heroin about 2 years ago, after using for about a year. That was before we were friends. Since then he used one other time, that he told me about. Well last week he called and asked me if he could borrow 80$ to take his mom out for mothers day, he said that he had lost his money that he saved and would pay me back (i didnt care if he payed me back or not) and I said sure! Well he told me today that a week ago he was out with a friend that uses and that he ended up using, saying to himself that it was just for that day..but it turned into almost a week. And the money he saved for his mom that he lost..was spent on the drugs, and im sure that part of the money he borrowed went to that as well. He also said that yesterday he tried to stop and started suffering withdraws and so he used again, and today he went and bought a pint of vodka in order to help with the heroin withdraws which I know replacing one addiction with another isnt any better but idk. He told me that he was sorry for lying to me and that he was ashamed of himself which is why he lied. I'm scared though. I love him so much but I have dealt with my grandparents and father being addicts of alcohol and other drugs and Im not sure if Im strong enough to go through this with him. What am I in for with this? How can I help him without allowing him to hurt me?
