it takes time===in my early recovery I found my self always thinking, craving, the dope but it would pass and believe it or not as time went on I found it not entering my mind as often. Today 5 years clean I still on occasion have a thought or a craving the key to my success is I dont act on my thought or feeling. I live in northern Michigan and not being a very social person I took my self out of the caos I live 250 miles from detroit and all the old places, for me it works. My addiction to Herion and then Methadone was about 10 years long. Get your heart and mind in the same place and just keep trying. Good Luck.
