i cant belive you did not become attatched to this book the supermarket passages contains some of the most emotinally charged scenes ever commited to print .iread this book sixteen years ago when my wife was pregnant and it has had a profound effect on my life.on one occassion i actually experienced what the author described .i found my daughter safe and well but for ten frantic minitues i was living what mcewan had described.
