The child In Time was my first Mcewan book which I read at the age of 13. I did indeed find at the time I skim read most of it as it is a highly involved book. Further reviews of it, however, have led to a different story each time as sub plots unfold and as my life experinence grows.

Give it a few goes, if it's not for you then that's life - but don't critise the writer, I can't read The Sun but I'm not going to complain to them about it.
