Glad you have recommended the film. I too love Atonement, it is probably in my top 5 novels. However, I have put off going to see the film because I don't want to lose my own images and because I was worried that they would hack away at the plot and change it into something that it isn't. But I may now take the risk and go to see it, although it may mean I have to give up the pretence that I have convinced myself of - that Robbie & Cecilia lived happily ever after together!
