Dear Mr McEwan,
I like reading your books so much but...I prefer reading them in their original draft as translations are missing something somewhere..I can't tell exactly what it is.Susanna Basso is really good at giving words that shape of meaning they probably want to convey but..the fact is that your English is probably much better than her Italian. Chesil Beach was very good, it reminded me of Eveline by Joyce, the setting was so perfect...and so was characterisation.
