i think that that is a very valid idea and have also thought it myself. i do still think that bryony's naivity and over imagination is what led her into believing it, but if her previous crush on robbie did not effect her accusing robbie then why was it included in the novel? i do think that she would have been jealous of cea and that her desire to protect her sister from this 'monster' was also effected by bryony not wanting her sister to be happy with him. it is a good idea and also a good one to use in class discussions.
