Everything looks cool and no, no broken images so far. As for the title graphics- it's not too bad they just take a little bit more to load so I say keep 'em.

However, at least on my browser, the stuff I've read/clicked on doen't change color anymore to let me know that I've read it or been there before..I don't know if it's deliberate or not but it can be frustrating. Just a heads up though.
