• As Blue launched himself through the air his smaller frame managed to slip through the gaps of the conflict. he had made it to the weapon. none of the goblins had had time to react to his sudden movement. but now he was surounded and up against a wall. the goblins inched in waiting for one to start the rush. -- GM, 08:23:37 12/09/04 Thu
• Abigal, seeing the axe coming at her, jumps back to avoid the blow. She was not quite quick enough to dodge the full blow. The edge of the blade brushed cross her stomach (OOC: you were kinda vague with "lower half", so I hope that her stomach is low enough. BIC:) a thin red cut. Luckily it wasn't deep, more like a paper cut or a small cut. Refocusing her attention to the orc, Abigal decided that her best chance is to continue to dodge until an opening reveals itself. • "Goblins!" davin cursed under his breath. turning around he took the torch out of lily's hands "your going to need both hands for that weapon" then he fitted into blue's belt a short sword that seemed to come from no where. "you'll need something besides that bow." passing abigail he nodded at her. swinging the torch around his wrist it flared as the air fanned the flames. anyone looking close enough could see an almost maniacal smile play across davin's he seemed to whisper something to himself. -- Davin, 08:15:28 11/22/04 Mon

• Abigal smiles, "Finally some action!" She quickly flicks wrists and three sharp, claw-like blades extend out of each glove. Obviously she is a close range fighter so wasting no time she rushes into the brunt of the battle. Speed and agility are her strengths and allow her to dodge well and stike quickly. Unfortunately power is a weakness of hers and so she avoids getting into any weapon to weapon locks were strength would be key. Moving quickly Abigal fights her way forward. • After taking care of as many goblins as possible with his bow, he was forced to replace it with the sword at his side. Wishing the weapon was a pair of hand axes instead, he weilded it as best as he could. Rushing to meet the oncoming goblin, he swung it overhead...much like a big axe. He had alot of strength in that young heart of his, but it could do nothing for him if he slipped up with his weapon.   • Davin swung the torch at a goblin that ventured to close. seeing a chance another goblin tried to press in from the other side. davin dropped to his hands (or rather the torches as they were still in his hands. ) and kicked back hard. the goblin not expecting this caught two booted feet in his skull. with an odd crunching sound he buckled back. as davin regained his feet he felt a hard blunt object smash into his side. being hurtled across the floor the torches scattered to either side of him. the corridor got suddenly darker. -- Davin (and some GM), 10:38:20 11/24/04 Wed
• OOC: I know you said maniacal. I said evil on purpose. Lily still doesn't fully trust Davin and she thinks he looked EVIL! And doesn't fate normally play the goblins? BIC: Lily removed her sword from the gut of the goblin she had just stabbed. Lily hadn't been prepared for the onslaught of the darkness. In the few moments it took for her eyes to adjust a goblin arrow pierced just under her left collar bone. She staggered backwards and nearly dropped her sword. Her sword in her right hand she tried to remove the arrow with the left. The small movement caused pain to lance through her entire body. She gritted her teeth and tried again to remove it. She realized the end was barbed and she wouldn't be able to remove it then. Instead she broke of a long piece of the shaft and threw it to the floor. She realized that it was death just to stand there and that she had to keep fighting. With a warcry she decapitated the nearest goblin and begins grappling with the next. Scrambling around in the suddenly deeper shadows, it seemed like tense hours before his hands latched onto his prize. Adrenaline coursing through him, he spun around--still almost on the ground--and swung viciously around upward with a desperate cry. Whatever was diving for him was going to get a nasty and close-called surprise. Ooc: I don't want to assume that I dodge every hit, but I don't know what I should take. • OOC: Sorry guys, I've been out of town and haven't been able to post. BIC: Abigal turns to the creature closest to her and lands her claws deep into its weapon arm. Ripping it out she then turns to the next one. The lights suddenely dim greating making it very difficult for her to she, thus making it difficult to dodge. Just when she was about to attack one of the goblins a powered blow connects with the side of her head sending her sprawling to the floor. She stood up shakely (a little dazed from the blow). The spliting headache made it terrible difficult for her to keep her thoughts straight. She knew that a clear mind in battle can mean the difference from victory or death, she knew that she might be in a little bit of trouble. • Lily raised her torch a little higher in a futile attempt to spread the light. Her free hand rested on the hilt of her broad sword. Adventures were great and everything but they were often different from fairy tales. People got hurt and people could die. When Blue asked why Davin and his friends had been down her Lily felt a sudden uneasyness and a certain mistrust of their guide. She gripped her sword tighter and waited to see what would happen. • Haaden took the spears from Davin said a quick "Thanks." then set to work on creating the litter. She took Sap's cloak after shrugging into her own. She removed a length of rope from her pack and cut it into five pieces. Four were roughly the same length and the fifth was slightly longer. She pulled the cloak taunt and tied it to the spears in a complicated way that would hold up to the dragging they were about to do on it. The way she tied it off was a unique way taught to her by some relative a long time ago. It was unique by the fact that it did no damage to the spears or the cloak as most ties would require. She tied the longer piece to the to spears to make the litter easier to pull and then apparently satisfied said "The litters ready." (NT) -- Haaden, 16:07:31 04/24/04 Sat

• OOC: Yep we've been doing this for quite a long time and I think it's great you're joining. Oh and Halden welcome back. IC: Haaden shivered again. The fire was warm but she could warm both her front and her back at the same time. It would be very comfortable in here if she were in dry clothes. Well there wasn't much she could do about it now. Sighing she removed the leather shoes from her feet and placed them near the fire and her cloak where they could dry. He began taking things out of his bag so they could dry out. He also took off his shoes, shirt, and cloak. Their clamminess next to his skin was not making him any warmer. He picked up the colored balls he had taken from the recreational cave earlier and began to juggle them. After a while he began to feel warmer. • Sap returned to the fire and checked his stuff. His shirt and cloak were dry. He put the shirt back on. He dragged Halden around so that his other half would be closer to the fire. Then he placed his now dry cloak over Halden. Haaden's cloak was also dry, so he draped it over her. It was still cold in here if you weren't moving around. • Haaden glanced around. Wood didn't seem to be a resource in this cave. What else could they use? She shivered. Sap was right. Drenched as they were it didn't take much for them to feel the chill. How long had Halden been laying here like this? She was cold and tired and would like nothing better than to lay down and go to sleep right where she was. But right now that wasn't an option. Opening her bag she pulled out the remainder of her torches. They had been wrapped in cloth and were dry for the most part. There were only three. Setting them on the ground where they could build a fire she asked "Do you have anything else that's um well burnable?" • Sap brought his torches out of his bag, they had been treated with some kind of resin so as to be water-proof and to burn slower. It seemed to have done at least an okay job of staying dry. He handed them over to Haaden, feeling just a little reluctant. He moved over and touched Halden's arm. It was very, very cold and wet. • Haaden took the torches from Sap. Together they would probably have enough for a comfortable little fire. She pulled the flint from her bag and struck it on her sword (which she had somehow managed to keep hold of). Sparks flew but didn't catch. Haaden picked up the cloth that her torches had been wraped in. Parts of it were still dry. She ripped off the dry cloth and put it beneath the torches. Hopefully they wouldn't need them later. Right now they had plenty of light with the strange glow but how long would that last? She removed one of Sap's resin-treated torches from the pile, just in case. Pushing the dry cloth further beneath the remaining torches she struck the flint to her sword again. This time the cloth caught fire. It wasn't long before she had a nice blaze going. The torches would probably burn for a good while. Moving closer to Sap and Halden she asked "How's he doing?" (NT) -- Haaden, 18:06:31 04/11/04 Sun
• "Well, he's not getting any colder. Help me drag him closer to the fire. Then we can all use it to get warmer. I wish we had something dry to change him into. • Haaden helped Sap drag Halden closer to the fire. She then sat down next to Halden. If she had known that this little adventure was going to be like this, then she would have come more prepared; they all would have. If she could have seen the sky outside she knew it would be fully dark now. She was very tired now and the cold was beginning to seep into her weary muscles.
