I know many - some who are still there and others who are not. Equally I know many non JA folk who say their parents/teachers/pastor were sods to him. Being a sod if not proprietry copyright of the JA ;)

Never heard of anything like that - and have never seen it either.

Most kids I knew had educational toys and the odd teddy/doll. I understand this might not always have been the case but does go some way to showing that feeling has mellowed. Sure, the don't have PS3's and WII's but that's about their parents choice of lifestyle. I appreciate that's not the kids choice but we're all subject to things like that aren't we?
