I am afraid I haven't argued this very well. For me, this isn't about God being apparently unjust and malicious, but about Christians not being logical or consistent.

To b ea clear, I do not believe there is a God.

What amazes me is that anyone can read Noah's ark and conclude that any God like that would be worthy of worship.

You see, for me it would be far more logical to take Enlightened's stand and say, if that is what it is all about, I want nothing to do with it.

But Christians don't. They do what you seem to have done, Barbara, which is to say that you are at fault for not being able to understand God's actions.

To my mind, they are easily understood because they are the actions that a tribe of people very much like the JA, who think they are IT, would like their God to do to everyone else. I think the God of the bible does wicked things only because those are the qualities that wicked people have ascribed to him....

or, in other words, Christians have created a God in their own image.
