When a number of people were either living with me or closely associated with me after leaving NCCC a few years ago, my partner asked if I was starting my own community. We larked about a bit, cooking together, messing about with cars, bbqs, building stuff and talking about girls etc and generally had a fun time. I have always been quite keen on community but it would have to be without any potential to be controlling, which would mean that you'd have to keep religion etc out of the equation.

Incidentally, living in NCCC I don't remember Jesus coming into the equation a hell of a lot anyway. The community was always far more interested in what Noel said than what Jesus said.

I reckon if Jesus had been "in community" he'd have had something looser than NCCC and would have been happier in my set-up than theirs.
