Subject: Stealing from the poor

And the Bible says that those who steal from the poor should be punished.

Nobody is arguing that people who are staying with the JA should sit around idle all day. No-one has said that.

But the JA takes the very last farthing of those poor people they pretend to be helping. They DO entrap them.

Do you know how hard it is to walk away from an abusive situation without any money in your pocket? You can't pay for food, or a shelter for the night, you are totally at thye mercy of the generosity (or lack of it) of other people. And people are not always very kind to beggers.

The Jesus Army pride themselves on being God's people. Under no circumstances should they be bringing scorn to the name of Jesus Christ, who they profess to love, by putting a person from them destitute. Even if that person is a drug addict, or an alcoholic, the Jesus People should not be bringing shame to Jesus's good name by doing such a thing.

If a person will not live by the rules of the Jesus Army houses, then of course they ought not be allowed to stay. But they must find those people who God has sent to them some accomodation, if they have accepted that person into their home as a brother or sister of our dear Lord. They must do this, because they have the means to do it, it's ridiculous to cry that they are too poor to help these people, it is a blasphemous insult to the Lord Jesus's generosity, who has blessed the Jesus Army with so much!

Can't you see how wrong it is?
