Rumiton has since explained that he was using apostate in a sense understood by Wikipedia. However, I would think that it refers there to people who have departed from the belief system and not from a particular church. I have tried to emphasis this point and he has conceded it to some extent.

I don't know if he will appreciate the irony of this apparently coincidental mistake.

The simple fact is that while claiming to be orthodox, we all know that the JA actually does believe that when you leave them you are leaving God.....regardless of any individual's claims to continue in the faith.
