And, to be fair, on balance most people here side with you against me.

Most people (open or lurking) here seem angry about something (evidence that the JA targets quite unstable people). Take anon, here for instance, who will be friends with anyone who finds me irritating, because he/she is angry with me for saying their opinions about the JA are largely nonsense.

You and I, Barbara, say EXACTLY what we think, rather than trying to win friends. Consequently, we stand on toes - or in your case, just bore people witless. That seems to hurt you, which is perhaps why you oughtn't to do it, but I don't think of the internet as a source of friends, but a place where opinion (however strong) can be expressed.

Instead of feeling bullied, look at the reality. I piss people off, and pissed off people are your natural friends. I don't feel ganged up on when people side with you because the dynamic just amuses me. You can form a "we all hate the nasty man" gang and for a lot of you that will be enough for you.

I have always taken the line that on a JA-watching forum I am not here to make friends but to express opinion about the JA. I never censor myself to make people happy, whether disagreeing with the JA or their detractors.
