Hi Barbara and Pete,
Ray and Ruth Gunn are living in Belfast now so I don't often see them, similarly with Ian Jolley who's in Coventry/Stockton. Mick Temp didn't remember the water throwing incident (he's always been Cornerstone) and Martin, the deceased leader, was with the Stoke household. So I approached Mhairi to see if she remembered anything...

She was most amused to be reminded of her soaking as she believes she had it coming. Eaddy, the sister who threw the water, had told her to stop making snyde comments and pouring cold water on everything or she'd pour cold water on her. The rest is already publicised. The two of them laughed about it together when I spoke to them last night and are bewildered at the notion that elders were or should have been involved.

Credit to you Pete for thinking to question the alleged link between vulnerable women and water throwing. There is none. This was a dispute between two friends.

As to how this has affected you Barbara, since you have taken offence on her behalf please get in touch with Mhairi (at Cornerstone) if you need to be reassured about the dynamics of the situation. She'd be pleased to hear from you.

Bless you,
Dave Ardent
