The Bible says that sin is the problem. My dictionary states that sin is transgression of divine or moral law.

I remember being at a JA meeting at Cornerstone once. After the meeting, it was a lovely sunny day, and the childrem went to play in the garden. At that time, my daughter was very friendly with one of the elder's children, a lovely man called Swann - I can't remember his first name, but I remember he worked with wood, anyway, his son Stephen wanted to show my daughter a grass snake he had found in the celler, so we went to look at that first, and then they both went out to play with the other children in the garden, and I went with them. As they went to join the other children, I could hear some of the other children, a group of about 10 or so of them, blaspheming, saying horrible things about the Lord. I was really very shocked, they hadn't realised that there was an adult within earshot. I didn't tell anyone, but it did make me feel really sad. These were the children that their JA parents thought of as the cream of the crop, they were careful not to allow them any more contact with "heathen" - non JA children than they could avoid, and yet these children were saying disgusting things about their God.

The Bible does say "Spare the rod and spoil the child", but I thought there was something deeply disturbing about the way people used to smirk at the sounds of spanking.

God disciplines us who are his children, but he never does it in order to humiliate us, but to teach us a lesson that we must learn, for our own health and happiness, and he does not take any pleasure in it either.

As for why are so many kids out of control these days, well, I've told you what's going on in this country. We are sexualising young children, and screwing with their minds - just look at the media targetting towards kids, the tv programs directed to them, the music they are having shoved down their lugholes - or muzac, I ought to say, because a lot of it is droning mindnumbing white noise. There is plenty of lovely music still being made, but you won't hear much of that on the British Brainwashing Channels.
