I know Peter will take my comments as a dig but it's nothing I haven't said before. His manner online does nothing but stifle real discussion.

I have seen many JA and ex-JA members come on here and, in the end, be subject to hounding and downright intellectual verbal abuse.

My time in the JA has been much discussed here and, although I accept they are/were far from perfect wither during my time or now I would say on balance they have been a positive influence on my life. Unfortunately at times that has not been sensationalist enough, to the point of effectively being referred to as disingenuous.

Anyway, I tend to just lurk here now and see what folks are saying. It's a shame though that, in my five or so years looking on here, some folk are no firther forward and everything seems so cyclic. Life's a journey - the experiences we encounter make us what we are. People may wrong us but surely we should use that to push us forward? That's been my approach.

I doubt this comment will be taken with any regard however, any onlooker coming on here and just seeing folks bitching amongst themselves is hardly inviting. Similarly, any folks from the JA are just likely to refrain from commenting.

Without wishing to be personal - Peter should calm down and take some time away from this forum, the amount of debate that has been stifled is there to see in the archives

John, I don't know you - I think I saw you once outside Wembley handing out leaflets in 1990/91 it could have been and was warned off from speaking to you by my old shepherd Steve Stalwart. Although I disagree with much of what is on JEANNI I commend you on your level headed comments.
