Maybe it could have been something as innocuous as believing that not being so he could devote more time to the church. I know after I married and had kids I had less free time.

Not a criticism or marriage, just an observation.

>This man live all his life surrounded by young men

As one of the young men who live at The Farm for a period this is news to me. I don't remember him despising either my wife nor my two children. As for being surrounded by young men, some households just tended to lend themselves to that - I think the fact it was a working farm contributed. From memory, households like Bright Flame in Coventry and to some extent some of the houses in Leicester tended to have more women in them. I presume in your mind therefore the leaders there were fornicating sex pests?

>In Noels eyes women were second class citizens and the

Again, news to me. I know kids who helped out on The Farm and maybe picking goosberries isn't any idea of fun - well, life aint always full of roses or a non-stop Toblerone eating session ;) As for working at the warehouse - am sure that H&S would have prevented that.

>If people wanted to leave he told them they was going
>to hell and they were backsliden,

I have heard that in person, never agreed with it.

>and he encouraged

>thought god made adam and eve not adam and steve??

Encouraging men to be celibate is not encouraging them to be gay!

>Actually if you think back the only other person who

>similarities)?????

Oh yes, Noel Stanton, compared to someone responsible for the murder of millions of people. Sure ...... hmmmmm. I will concede that both had dodgy haircuts however :)

All said and done - miss you Noel, you were a very positive impact on my life for the time I knew you.
