What Jj described is not only abuse, but RITUAL ABUSE in a Christian setting. Had a group of Satanists been accused of such behaviour, even as an isolated incident, most right minded people would be baying for blood and expecting people to be locked up for a very long time. Try quoting the relevant posts to a social worker and see whether they agree with me. A parent who did something like that would have their children taken off them.
You said that "most members" would disaprove. You are probably right but, as is so often the case, it isn't the "most" who we should be afraid of. The fact that it might be a rare phenomina doesn't excuse it or reduce the seriousness. As the women on here have readily proved with their shocking stories, abuse at one level or another against weaker people is part of the basic JA technique.
