Subject: we have nothing to be ashamed of if we admit that the JA affects us still
In reply to: John Smith 's message, "Re: the dramatic change of your attitude completely fits, Sarah" on 26/11/09 5:15:39pm

being bitter! Hahaha it is what they always say, as if being bitter was unjustifiable.

If people hear about the JA, get concerned and do a search and find this place and places like my blog

http://ja-1984.blogspot.com/

they will not say, why are John and Peter so bitter, but what goes on in the JA that can mean that people who have left the fellowship many years before can still have concerns?

My blog headliner says, "Even now, more than 20 years after I left the Jesus Army, it still affects my life. Here I attempt to explain why".

Sarah would like you to feel that your postings show you to be inadequate, pathetic, "bitter" etc....as if your problems with the JA are because you have PROBLEMS IN YOURSELF. It is what JAs always do....and attempt to bully people into silence.

But I say quite unashamedly, what happened to me was SO traumatic that it has affected my life and still does EVEN NOW. That MAY say someting about me but I think it says an awful lot more about the impact a cultic group can have on people.
