Well, I watched Amber on “Cold Case” Sunday. I was a little disappointed that she didn’t have more lines, though the amount of actual screen time she had was good. Her expressive (and impressive) display of emotion in her final scene really proved what an outstanding actress she is. There was an absolutely beautiful photograph of her (with the wind blowing her hair across her face) that was used on the show I would love to own – suitably autographed, of course. It seems to be my week for catching BtVS alumni on television, because I was lucky enough to see the reruns of the two “That 70s Show” episodes which guest starred Alyson Hannigan on Monday. She was fantastic. Her character was nothing like our beloved Willow, yet it retained something essentially “Willow-like” in its bubbling enthusiasm and all around cute-as-a-button presence. You know, it seems quite a few “Buffy” regulars are doing “That 70s Show”, and it made me think: wouldn’t it be fun if we could see an episode where Aly’s character has a scene or two interacting with Seth’s character? It might give a degree of closure to all those fans who were hoping to see a Willow/Oz reunion before “Buffy’s” series finale. Just a thought... No new “Angel” for what – five weeks? I think it’s a ploy on the WB’s part to save themselves embarrassment. How would it look if the ratings on a show they cancelled sky-rocketed due to fan response? Putting “Smallville” reruns there prevented that, but I for one won’t be watching them. I plan to spend the hour raving and jumping up and down on a stuffed frog girl-child donated to the cause. Not only will it be cathartic, but I hear it’s great for the cardiovascular system. *eg* No new “Tru Calling” this week, either.
