Your confusing the (alleged) phenomenon with its physical explanation. Yogic practice may (or may not) engender all sorts of interesting effects peculiar to it, but I don't think that anyone would want to argue that yogis are by dint of their yogic training competent to identify and explicate the physical mechanisms involved.
