Subject: Evolution / Creation

What do readers of this most excellent board think about PY's teaching that humans did not evolve as other life forms evolved?

It says humans are "special creations of the Infinite,"
in the chapter, "Who Made God," in Man's Eternal Quest, page 361. Also, it says, "God had created the first beings by special creation, and not by the law of cause and effect through parents" in Lesson 110, page 4.

Did humans spring from the forehead of Zeus? Did God engineer humans through the agency of alien biologists? Did God blast a monkey with a lightening bolt to mutate its genes into a human? (maybe why monkeys learned to screech!)

The idea that humans didn't evolve is downright weird to some biologists around me, & I don't understand it either.

How do you understand the SRF’s teaching that humans did not evolve? All comments appreciated! Thanks.
