The point of mentioning Piltdown and Nebraska man was to show how small the fossil evidence is for some early human and pre-human types.

There are also some other interesting links from that site. Notice how thin the fossil evidence for Homo erectus really is. It is just a few scattered bones and teeth.

Furthermore, although this site suggests human evolution in China, from the earlier pre-human hominids to Homo sapiens, this would not be possible if it is true that all humanity descends from one female living in Africa much more recently, as some genetic evidence suggests.

It is by no means certain then, that these early hominids were our ancestors.
