Dear hvzw, the fact that you're on this site shows you have a deeper interest in Kriya than many a new comer. It's difficult to find many Kriyabans willing to break the Kali yuga code of secrecy surrounding the techniques. Yet my own significant advances in Kriya have come from experimenting with the older variations of Kriya AND from advice and meditation recipes from those passionate about Kriya.
Keep practicing and one day you'll realize how much you've changed. When that happens, you'll never stop...
