Generally, this quote was given by Yoganandaji as an affirmation, as in an early magazine:
"I will try to meditate deeply every day. Today I will meditate deeper than yesterday. Tomorrow I will meditate deeper than today."
Or as inspiration, as seen in one of the Praecepta lessons:
"WEEKLY INSPIRATION
MEDITATE DEEPER EACH DAY
Meditate today deeper than you did yesterday, and tomorrow meditate deeper than you do today. Meditate during most of your leisure hours. Instead of being absent-minded, think of God. Seek God as the ever-increasing Bliss of meditation; feel Him as boundless Joy, throbbing in your heart. Seek to know God first, last, and all the time. Finding Him first, you will find all things that you crave through Him. Your silence will spread like an expanding sphere, directionless, everywhere. Your silence will spread like the radio song, above, beneath, left and right, within and without—everywhere. Your silence will spread the wildfire of Bliss, and the dark thickets of sorrow and the tall oaks of pride will all be burned up. Your silence, like the ether, will pass through everything, carrying the songs of earth, atoms, and stars into the bosom of His Infinite Mansion."
