"Mirilini Ma says it is unheard of that a saint the likes of PY makes a 'religion" or a path HIMSELF, forms it and stays on to organize it, so perhaps we have a first."

Another example in recent times would be that of Swami Sivananda and the Divine Life Society.

"Yogananda in the 1938 lessons in one spot encourages chelas to meet the masters of India, and that quote was taken out. But I myself visit Ammachi and other saints if they are near and I feel to do so. This is taboo in SRF. You learn not to talk about it. Eventually we have to grow up and use our own buddhi or discrimination."

I don't know why there should be any objections to simply visiting those of different paths. P Yogananda himself certainly liked to visit different saint, in fact his autobiography devotes large sections to his meetings with saints outside the Kriya tradition.

I think that Swami Ramdas seems to be suggesting something more though. He seems to be saying that it is good to vary the actual path and discipline. Perhaps that is good advice for those who adopt a devotional approach, but certainly not for those practicing a system such as Kriya (or any tantric or Raja yoga system).
