The Hare Krishna's are serving a vegetarian meal today; the Kriyabans are practicing Pranayam. On the other hand Mohammed's most ardent followers are doning explosive girdles with images of 72 nubile virgins flashing through their heads on their way to a pizzeria or Bar Mitzfah to blow themsevles up along with babies, woman and the elderly. If this was sort of action was so contradictory to the tenets of Islam then you would probably find people rising up in righteous anger on a massive scale because these things were being done in the name of their religion. For the most part you don't. Instead what you see is silent acceptance and often times open approval. Meanwhile, the "enlightened" Westerners arrogantly talk about how they understand the real essence of the Koran while doubting the knowledge of life long followers and scholars.
