If you care to search the archives you will find quite extensive discussion about Prajnanananda's controversial guru Hariharananda.

Although Hariharanada presented himself as being a disciple of Sri Yukteswar and claimed he had received some higher Kriya's from Yogananda this is disputed by some.

At the time of Hariharananda's passing SRF issued a statement saying that there was no record of him ever meeting Yogananda.

There was also a dispute between Hariharananda and YSS over the ownership of an ashram.

I would like to add that two people who have met him have told me that Prajnanananda impressed them as being sincere and genuine.
