No, he just gives "specific" instructions to practice pranayama with the tongue in a position which excludes Kechari.

If you wish to argue that such an instruction against the practice of Kechari during pranayama is only implied rather than specific perhaps you are right. Nevertheless the practice is still prevented by accurately following the instructions in the lessons.

Are you perhaps a lawyer looking for loopholes?
