To me Guardian angels are evolved souls not encased in the physical body but they live in the astral and causal plane.

Once we find a Guru we don't need guardian angels or spirit guides.

Although, I'm not sure if there are other "angels" around us performing other related duties such as physical protection, even when the Guru is present.

Some people believe that angels are a special form of God's creation.
