If you are a practitioner of Kriya Yoga and have a Guru he will tell you.

Most people do not have a guru however. In this case no one will be able to answer such questions, so it is rather a matter of inner feeling and hence a personal matter.

I do not think that there is anything wrong with any beliefs per se. To give an extreme example: I knew a wonderful, ascetic man who is a strict follower of the stark anti-belief teaching of Shibendu Lahiri, but nevertheless - to my surprise - he described himself as being a Christian.
