He was my father Sri Nerode's friend and student. He gave Sri Nerode introductions to many philosophers at universities around the country, who were kind enough to sponsor Nerode's lectures in their universities. Durant often visited the Nerode's at Mt. Washington. I have pictures of him and Sri Nerode up there on the old tennis court, and letters from him to my father. I think I have one of him holding me in his arms when I was very small.
